Chevrolet continues to lead the automotive industry with award-winning vehicles that deliver on performance, efficiency, technology, style, comfort, convenience, and safety. Confirming Chevrolet’s rightful place at the top of the industry is the automaker’s recent distinction as J.D. Power’s Most Awarded Brand of 2017.
In total, six Chevrolet vehicles earned nine awards from J.D. Power last year, more than any other automaker. The awards came from three major studies: Vehicle Dependability Study, Initial Quality Study, and APEAL Study.
Vehicle Dependability Study
The Vehicle Dependability Study measures the quality of a vehicle after three years on the road, so for the 2017 study, J.D. Power looked at 2014 models. Four Chevrolet vehicles earned top quality marks: the Chevrolet Camaro, Silverado HD, Sonic, and Tahoe.
Initial Quality Study
Rather than measure quality after three years of ownership, the Initial Quality Study measures quality after the first 90 days of ownership. Three Chevrolet models earned awards in this study: the Chevrolet Silverado, Silverado HD, and Sonic.
The APEAL Study stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout and examines how attached to and excited about a particular model customers are. In this study, two Chevrolet vehicles earned top marks: the Chevrolet Bolt and Tahoe.
Earning more J.D. Power awards than any other brand is no small feat. Explore the full lineup at Lowe Chevy!
