Autumn is finally here in Waynesville, Missouri, which is our favorite time for a quaint road trip through the great state. Here are some of our favorite fall foliage drives in Missouri:
Ozark Riverways Loop
The beautiful Ozark Mountains give life to a number of rivers. This 150-mile loop will take you through Mark Twain National Forest and along Current and Jack’s Forks Rivers.
Lake of the Ozarks Loop
If you can’t get enough of the Ozarks’ natural beauty, then try out the Lake of the Ozarks loop, which will be far less touristy now that summer has passed. The 130-mile loop takes you all around the winding lake, giving you plenty of opportunities to see the changing leaves against a beautiful lake backdrop.
Wine Country Loop
Did somebody say wine? Just make sure you have a designated driver on this trip. The 125-mile loops takes you through beautiful autumn colors and to several wineries along the way to sample some crisp wines on a breezy, fall day.
Table Rock Loop
This is easily our favorite drive — and the longest at 180 miles. The drive will take you through beautiful forests into Branson. We recommend highway 125 for the best views.
