Earlier this month, the Chicago Cubs shocked the world by winning their first World Series since 1908. To honor this occasion, Chevrolet awarded the World Series Most Valuable Player Ben Zobrist, a Cubs’ outfielder, with a 50th Anniversary Edition Camaro SS convertible.
“In this historic matchup, Zobrist’s performance on the field truly embodies the same ‘Never Give Up’ spirit that drives the Chevrolet team to innovate every day and that has made us the Most Awarded Automotive Brand two years in a row,” said Paul Edwards, US vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “We are proud to recognize the tremendous efforts of Zobrist with the MVP award and the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition convertible.”
As the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball since 2005, Chevy has awarded the World Series MVP a vehicle from its line up each year. It has also helped raise more than $28 million through its Chevrolet Youth Baseball program over the last ten years. Almost 5.2 million children have benefitted from this program with over 1,500 Chevrolet dealers being involved in this great program.
If you are hoping to be like Ben Zobrist and want a Camaro for yourself, come in to Lowe Chevrolet to see what this iconic muscle car has to offer.
