Chevy has made a number of updates to the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse, which will arrive at Lowe Chevrolet later this year. The updates in general serve to make the Chevy Traverse look and feel more premium, perhaps to compete with comparable luxury SUVs.
Chief among the updates are a change in style, with rounded edges disappearing for more square edges, including narrow headlights and taillights and more angles in general, putting the Traverse on par with the Tahoe and Equinox, though it does borrow some styling cues from the Impala, especially on the sides. The exterior also gets new chrome accents. Take a look at the front to notice a real difference: a taller grille and a more angled front than the outgoing model.
Inside, the Traverse gets a larger infotainment system, thanks to the touchscreen. Below the central display is a much cleaner area than in the outgoing model. The majority of the interior touches, however, are reserved for the premium High Country model.
In terms of power, the Traverse boasts a 3.6-liter V6, which produces 305 horsepower, compared to the outgoing Traverse’s 285 horsepower. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Be sure to test drive the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse when it arrives at Lowe Chevrolet.
